It might seem like a myth, but choosing life away from the city can really improve your quality of life, and when Sheena and Elisha moved to Powell River with their families, they traded in long commutes for family time and a community they love.

 

Once Sheena and I met,, it was obvious  that our philosophies were going to match,


There’s a very, almost active, young population here, you know, it’s very easy for me to find someone, to go for a run or climb up a mountain.

I love the fact that instead of commuting,  I spend time every morning picking vegetables with my son, and cooking breakfast with him, it’s much nicer than sitting on the Knight Street Bridge. 

It’s one of my favourite things about Powell River
It’s great to have the balance, there’s so much to do here, there’s just, it’s,  it’s just a better life, … it’s great!
