When Barrie came to Powell River, he wanted a combination of a part-time emergency practice and full-service family practice. He was able to do that here, amongst a collegial group of physicians, and felt really welcomed. He started with a plan to stay one or two years, and as his family grew, he realized that Powell River provided the quality of life they wanted.

A few of the things they enjoy include: going to the recreation complex with their son for swimming lessons, music lessons at the Academy, and an abundance of outdoor activities – all within 5 minutes of driving.
