Marathon Shuffle Run

A fun, low-key shuffle (hike or run) on a 29-kilometre section of the sunshine Coast Trail. Hosted by PR PAWS (Powell river Parks and Wilderness Society), the Powell River Hikers and the BOMB (Bloody Old Men's Brigade) Squad to promote the beauty of the Sunshine Coast Trail.

An Aerospace Camp for youth will be held, inspiring and involving youth with a hands-on introduction to aviation and space technologies. In addition to learning about the principles of flight, aircraft and the Canadian Space Agency, the students experiment with model rockets and airplanes, study and practise metal component construction, fly a flight simulator and more!

Powell River's 13th annual Seedy Saturday.  Gardeners and growers of all stripes are welcome to come and exchange their seed stock and knowledge.  Your participation helps establish and maintain regional agricultural self-sufficiency, and helps preserve our local agricultural heritage.  Don't have seeds to trade?  Come anyway!  Packaged seeds are available for purchase.  Furthermore, a number of free workshops are available for those hungry to learn more.  Don't miss out on this excellent community event!
