The Powell River Film Festival, now in its 16th year of operation, is a registered non-profit society with charitable status. The Film Festival produces an annual event in February dedicated to showcasing the finest current releases. Our official name is the Friends of Film Society of Powell River.

The Powell River SLAM!

The SLAM is back after a brief hiatus, and because this slam will be held in February, when we all need a little more light because of the dark winter months, the theme of the SLAM will be light or dark.

To compete: Bring 3 poems that are about light or dark. All regular SLAM rules apply. 3-minute limit per poem.
