More about the 2019 BC Writers Series:
From poetry to mystery, the BC Writers Series aims to showcase the wide variety of work being published in the province.
In the fall, man of mystery (writing) and Vancouver noir author Sam Wiebe will visit Powell River as the perfect way to head in the spooky months around Halloween.
For kids, and those who are still young at heart, award-winning children’s book author Deborah Hodge will be visiting in the fall.
The Powell River Public Library is excited to add these four wonderful authors to the list of the many we’ve been fortunate to host in the past, including Grant Lawrence, Mike McCardell, John Vaillant and Kyo Maclear.
These engaging and fun Library events are open to people of all ages, and are free. Because author readings and workshops are often popular, we recommend that anyone interested arrive early to ensure that they get a seat.
