Mark Leiren-Young is an acclaimed author and Stephen Leacock Memorial Metal for Humour winner of titles including The Killer Whale Who Changed the World, Never Shoot a Stampede Queen, Orcas Everywhere and Free Magic Secrets Revealed: A Memoir.
This event is funded in part by the Powell River Friends of the Public Library, the Writers’ Union of Canada’s National Public Readings Program and the Canada Council for the Arts.
The BC Writers Series includes readings and presentations as well as school visits for children and teens.
The Powell River Public Library is excited to add these four wonderful authors to the list of the many we’ve been fortunate to host in the past, including Grant Lawrence, Mike McCardell, John Vaillant and Kyo Maclear.
These engaging and fun Library events are open to people of all ages, and are free. Because author readings and workshops are often popular, we recommend that anyone interested arrive early to ensure that they get a seat.
