An association of businesses and services on Marine and Willingdon Avenues from Alberni to Wharf Street. Sponsors and organizes the Blackberry Festival and Street Party, the Santa Claus Parade, holiday lighting of Marine Avenue and the Historical Mural Project.

Town Centre Mall Merchant’s Association

Powell River Town Centre is a lifestyle “power centre” with close to 400,000 sq.ft. of retail, full-service hotel, two apartment buildings with ground floor retail and office units and numerous high provide food service outlets.



Who’s Who

Four levels of government provide services to the residents of Powell River and area – City of Powell River, Regional District of Powell River, Province of British Columbia and the Canadian Federal Government. Texada Island and Savary Island have improvement districts for specific aspects of local governance. In addition, the Tla’amin Nation negotiated a fair treaty settlement with the Province of BC and the Government of Canada. The agreement provides Tla’amin Nation with certain rights and benefits regarding land and resources, and self-government over its lands, resources and its members.
